Chapter 68: Walls Have Ears

Long Fei stared at her as if he’d seen a ghost. “You don’t even know this? I give up on you. Come on, let’s go home! I’ll show you what a wedding night really means!”
“We can start the treatment tonight, right?” Ye Qian, her excitement barely contained, gestured to her chest.
Long Fei strode out without even a backward glance, not an ounce of chivalry about him, but Ye Qian happily settled the bill, then trotted after him like a docile little wife, though she couldn’t resist making faces at his back.
As if I, Ye Qian, wouldn’t know what a wedding night is supposed to be? Hmph! Scoundrel, pervert, if you think you can have your way with me that easily, you’re dreaming!
On the drive back, Long Fei was at the wheel. Perhaps because he was in a foul mood, he kept the car roaring well past 250 kilometers per hour. It was the busiest time of day, the streets a blur of bustling traffic, but Long Fei weaved through the cars with Ye Qian beside him, releasing none of his pent-up irritation, though the thrill sent Ye Qian’s wild side into overdrive.
After parking, Long Fei led the way, Ye Qian following close behind while quickly calling her mother. She simply said she’d spend the night at Long Fei’s place, then abruptly hung up and switched off her phone, not caring how much worry or suspicion Qi Yufei might have at home. Ye Qian figured this was what they meant by “When the general is out on campaign, orders from the sovereign may be ignored.” She certainly didn’t want to be interrupted by her mother’s call while Long Fei was helping her with her chest enhancement.
But she’d barely powered down her phone before Long Fei’s rang as he reached the door. He answered, and Qi Yufei’s slightly anxious, embarrassed voice asked if Ye Qian was at his place. Long Fei simply tossed the phone to Ye Qian. She was even more direct—imitating his curt style, she finished the call in a couple of brisk sentences and shut the phone off.
Sensing Long Fei’s dark mood, Yang Danni hurried to make him a cup of coffee. “What’s wrong?”
Ye Qian handed Long Fei his phone with a giggle. “Oh, it’s nothing. We just went out for a candlelit dinner, had a little argument, nothing big. Perfectly normal.”
Having forced Long Fei to agree to her request, Ye Qian now considered herself his girlfriend. Despite her reservations about Yang Danni, she couldn’t back down in matters of the heart. So she took the initiative to declare a subtle challenge, confident Yang Danni would understand what she meant. After all, who goes out for a candlelit dinner with just any girl?
Yang Danni clearly understood, but her reaction left Ye Qian feeling a little deflated. Smiling, she said, “Oh, that’s fine then. By the way, I saved you both some dinner. Would you like to eat?”
Ye Qian quickly replied, “No need, we already ate.”
But Long Fei, face still stern, said, “We’ll eat.”
Yang Danni, a little smug, went to prepare the food for him. Ye Qian, like a defeated hen, craned her neck and scolded Long Fei, “Didn’t you just eat?”

“Is it a crime not to be full?” Long Fei chuckled darkly.
“Why eat so much at night? That’s ridiculous!” Ye Qian followed him to the dining table, though truth be told, she hadn’t eaten her fill either.
“If I don’t eat enough, how will I have the stamina for our wedding night? Wouldn’t I seem useless then?” Long Fei suddenly turned, his gaze shamelessly lingering on Ye Qian’s chest, his look so suggestive that her face instantly flushed crimson.
“Pervert!” Ye Qian pinched his arm hard, making him wince in pain.
But Long Fei forced himself to bear it, quickly smoothing out his frown and putting on an insufferably cheeky grin. “Go ahead, pinch all you want—just wait and see how I deal with you in bed tonight!”
“Get lost!” With Long Fei teasing her so brazenly, Ye Qian’s heart pounded wildly. She knew that with his skills, if he truly decided to force himself on her tonight, there’d be nothing she could do. Still, since she’d resolved to be his girlfriend, if he did sleep with her, it wouldn’t be the end of the world—just the natural course of things. Yet she couldn’t help but feel a twinge of fear; she’d heard from Sister Feng that a woman’s first time was rarely pleasurable—at least, it hadn’t been for Sister Feng.
Blushing furiously, Ye Qian went to help Yang Danni bring out the dishes. Yang Danni had cooked tonight’s meal herself. Long Fei took a bite and was surprised to find it on par with Qi Yufei’s cooking. Nodding in approval, he said, “Danni, your cooking is really good. Not bad at all! Unlike some people who can’t even cook!”
Yang Danni smiled as she served Long Fei another helping, then did the same for Ye Qian, who pouted. “As long as you like it, I’ll cook for you every day—for the rest of my life!” she said.
Seeing the happiness on Yang Danni’s face, Ye Qian felt unsettled. She resolved to learn how to cook, even if Long Fei wouldn’t teach her—she’d ask her mother instead. If she couldn’t win Long Fei’s stomach, how could she keep his heart from being swayed by Yang Danni?
Right now, though, Ye Qian could only glare at Long Fei in frustration.
Long Fei, for his part, looked quite pleased with himself—finally, he’d come out on top.
Noticing that Yang Danni had just served herself a bowl of rice, Long Fei was surprised. “You haven’t eaten yet?”
Yang Danni smiled. “I thought you’d be back for dinner, so I waited.”
Long Fei made a sound of acknowledgment, genuinely moved, though he didn’t say much in front of Ye Qian. After a moment, he added, “Why didn’t you call me?”

Yang Danni kept smiling. “I figured if you hadn’t come home, you must be busy. I didn’t want to disturb you, so I didn’t call.”
Long Fei glanced at Ye Qian, nodding with a hint of pride, as if to say, “See? This is what it means to be considerate—knowing when a man is busy and not constantly blowing up his phone!”
Ye Qian stuck her tongue out at him and buried herself in her food.
At last, it was time for bed, and Long Fei found himself in a dilemma. Yang Danni had already gone to her room, and he very much wanted to follow her.
But the problem was, Ye Qian clung to him, insisting he accompany her to the guest room she’d “claimed.” Her excitement was so palpable it made even Long Fei break out in a cold sweat. A woman’s chest might be important, but Ye Qian’s eagerness was almost alarming. Besides, breast enhancement wasn’t something that could be achieved overnight.
Heaven help him, Long Fei thought, feeling thoroughly exasperated.
Unable to shake Ye Qian off, he told her to go to the room first. She only went after delivering a stern warning. Once inside, she stripped off her clothes, leaving only a tiny bra—though with her modest bust, it could hardly be anything else.
Lying in bed, Ye Qian’s heart thudded anxiously. She couldn’t stop thinking: If Long Fei tried to take advantage of her during the treatment, or even actually slept with her, what would she do?
The more she dwelled on it, the more flustered she became. And just as her thoughts reached their most chaotic, Long Fei entered.
He came in with a lascivious grin, the lighting in the room set low and suggestive, creating a rather intimate atmosphere. If he listened closely, he could even hear someone in the next room pressed against the wall, eavesdropping.
In fact, Yang Danni had known the moment Long Fei entered Ye Qian’s room. She quickly pressed her ear to the wall, her heart pounding even harder than Ye Qian’s, her palms sweating, and her breathing so tense it became difficult to catch her breath.
