Chapter Fifty-One: A Secret Chamber for a Beloved Beauty
Wherever Li Yan and Sister Feng were found, Ye Qian was sure to be there as well.
This was a long-standing habit of the Red Powder Corps at the Jiaotong University, and everyone knew it. Thus, in the dormitory where Li Yan and Sister Feng stayed, there was always a bed reserved for Ye Qian.
The room was originally meant for four people, but Ye Qian disliked crowded spaces, so only the three of them lived there.
“Li Yan, do you think our leader has really fallen for that scoundrel Long Fei?” Sister Feng was bold in the privacy of her dorm; she paid no mind to the wide-open windows and wore nothing but underwear that barely covered her.
Li Yan seemed preoccupied and sighed at the question, “How would I know?”
“If the leader really likes him, I think she’s seriously lacking in taste. Isn’t Chen Xin so much better than Long Fei? Why would she choose him? I just don’t get it,” Sister Feng said, truly baffled.
Li Yan smiled, “Actually, Long Fei isn’t bad either. Otherwise, Ye Qian wouldn’t have ignored Chen Xin all this time, and now, because of Long Fei, she hasn’t been hanging out with us for days. Do you think she’s really planning to withdraw from the Red Powder Corps?”
“You all say Long Fei is good, but I have no idea what benefits that scoundrel has given you. Still, the leader mustn’t leave! If she does, the Red Powder Corps will lose its meaning. Besides, if she’s gone, who do you think will listen to us? I bet all those guys we’ve dealt with before will be waiting to get revenge!” Sister Feng frowned and sighed.
“Don’t worry. Ye Qian isn’t the kind of person to abandon her friends. Even if there’s no more Red Powder Corps, if anyone dares bully you, wouldn’t she still help? And anyway, don’t you have a boyfriend who’s captain of the school’s football team? He’s not just handsome; I hear the team respects him a lot. With him protecting you, what’s there to worry about?” Li Yan teased, trying to lighten the mood.
Sister Feng giggled, but then suddenly looked anxious, “Yeah, you know my boyfriend only agreed to date me because I was relentless and gave him some benefits. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have bothered.”
“Oh? What benefits? Did you let him touch your chest? Haha.” Li Yan’s words were direct, as ever.
But Sister Feng was even bolder, laughing, “So what? Mine are big anyway. What, are you jealous? Actually, I really worry about the leader. I wonder when her little chest will finally grow as big as mine?”
“Pfft! If hers were as big as yours, she’d be a dairy cow!” Li Yan laughed and scolded.
“Sister Feng, what did you just say? Say it again!” Ye Qian pushed open the door, her face dark with anger, eyes blazing so fiercely that Sister Feng couldn’t help but feel frightened and tremble.
“I—I didn’t say anything, leader!” Sister Feng stammered.
In the past, Ye Qian would have resorted to fists and kicks, and Sister Feng was ready for a beating. Unexpectedly, today Ye Qian merely retaliated by grabbing Sister Feng’s ample chest and pinching hard.
I’ll pinch them off, see if you dare act so arrogant again!
Sweat!
After the laughter and chaos died down, Ye Qian collapsed onto her own bed, while Sister Feng, massaging her sore chest, exchanged confused glances with Li Yan—neither knew why Ye Qian had suddenly changed so much.
It seemed that guy had mentioned he had a way to help me enlarge my chest!
Ye Qian’s eyes suddenly brightened: could he have been serious?
“Li Yan!” Ye Qian sprang up from her bed and rushed at Li Yan, startling her so much she fell onto the bed in a heap.
“Ye Qian, can you not act so crazy? Just say what you want,” Li Yan pleaded.
Ye Qian glanced oddly at Sister Feng, as if she wanted to speak but hesitated.
“What’s the matter, come on, spit it out!” Li Yan was growing impatient—this wasn’t like Ye Qian at all.
Ye Qian stared at Sister Feng again before finally speaking, “Alright, I’ll ask, but you two must not tell anyone.”
Once both had agreed, Ye Qian blushed and stammered, “Right now, besides surgery, is there a traditional Chinese medicine method to make…this…bigger?”
She pointed at her flat chest, her face burning with embarrassment.
Neither Sister Feng nor Li Yan dared laugh; instead, they tried to look as serious and earnest as possible. “Shouldn’t you ask Auntie Baidu about this?”
Ye Qian actually pulled out her laptop and went online. After nearly an hour of searching, Auntie Baidu finally informed her that traditional Chinese medicine did indeed have a massage technique meant to stimulate glands for breast enhancement. However, it required the masseur to have a deep understanding of acupuncture points; otherwise, not only would it be ineffective, it could even delay the development of female physiology.
Moreover, the technique originated from the imperial harem of the Qing dynasty, designed specifically for royalty. Centuries later, very few know it, and whether anyone still practices it remains unknown.
Ye Qian felt disappointed. Auntie Baidu spoke so convincingly, but then ended with such uncertainty—wasn’t that just raising her hopes for nothing?
Thinking of how Long Fei had repeatedly displayed his skills before her, Ye Qian resolved to ask him properly when she had the chance. If he really knew this massage technique, she’d risk it and let him help her a few times, even if it meant letting him take advantage. After all, he’d already seen everything below her waist in the woods last time; if he saw everything above this time, it wouldn’t make much difference. At worst, she’d make him take responsibility! Or just dig out his eyes and break his hands! Heh heh.
Sweat. At this thought, Ye Qian’s cheeks reddened, and just then, the class bell rang.
Throughout the lesson, Ye Qian’s mind was consumed by thoughts of breast enhancement. She heard nothing of what the professor said; but the professor, knowing Ye Qian’s status, didn’t interrupt her. The Red Powder Corps was, in fact, an extension of the Ye Group, wielding deep influence among the students and even intimidating the faculty at Jiaotong University. He didn’t want to upset Ye Qian; after all, he was hoping to be allocated a school apartment next year. If he lost the apartment and was fired, it’d be a disaster.
After class, Ye Qian hurriedly called Long Fei, but he wasn’t at school.
Ye Qian: Where are you now?
Long Fei: Renting an apartment.
Ye Qian: Renting? Why are you renting?
Long Fei: You have a dorm at school, but I don’t. I need a place to rest and sleep when I’m free.
Ye Qian: I bet you want a secret hideaway for your beauties.
Long Fei: I’m negotiating with the landlord now, pretty busy.
Then Long Fei hung up.
Ye Qian gritted her teeth in frustration; if Long Fei were nearby, she’d probably bite him hard, just like last time.
Meanwhile, Long Fei circled the room, frowned, and said to the old man, “I think the lighting in here isn’t great. How about you lower the rent a bit?”
The four-bedroom apartment was lavishly decorated; all the furniture was brand new. The family had gone abroad temporarily and wouldn’t return for at least a year or two, so they entrusted the old man to rent it out.
“Young man, are you kidding? The lighting’s not good? There are windows on three sides—what more do you want?” The old man was annoyed. He understood the desire to lower the rent, but this was nonsense.
Long Fei laughed awkwardly, “Oh, is that so? I didn’t notice. Sorry, sorry. But the bed’s facing the wrong way. My hometown is very particular about this—the head should point north, feet south. It’s unlucky otherwise, bad feng shui. So, the rent, could you…”
At least he found some reason. Long Fei smiled sheepishly, but his words won no sympathy. Instead, the old man lectured him.
“Trees die when moved, but people thrive with change. Can’t you move the bed yourself? Enough—one word, are you renting or not? The price isn’t going down. You know, this place is right by Jiaotong University; plenty of guys want to rent here. These days, student couples are everywhere—you’re not the only one!”
Sweat. Long Fei felt like sweating. This old man was fierce; he’d seen right through him.
Still, Long Fei was satisfied with the apartment. Considering he had enough money to last several lifetimes, he enjoyed bargaining, but couldn’t let rent stop him from taking the place. He quickly smiled, “Alright, I’ll rent, I’ll rent.”
They signed the contract on the spot. The old man handed over the keys and told Long Fei to pay utilities and management fees himself, grumbling as he left. In his view, Long Fei was stubborn as a mule—he wouldn’t budge unless treated roughly.
With all the furniture ready, Long Fei just went to the nearby mall to buy some bedding, had it delivered and arranged in the room. By now it was nearly five o’clock. Standing at the window, Long Fei could see the entire Jiaotong University campus. He lit a cigarette, took a drag, and his gaze turned ambiguous.
It didn’t matter whether he went to school or not—he was already late anyway. Might as well rest today. It was a pity he couldn’t chat with Liu Ruoyi. Thinking of Liu Ruoyi’s gentle allure, Long Fei couldn’t help but smile.
He tossed the keys high in the air and caught them. What was she doing now? Was she preparing tonight’s news? Or perhaps thinking of him?
