Chapter Thirty: The Girl Named Ram

The days as Monkey’s junior disciple were filled with a sense of vindication for Liu Yunfei. When he hurled the stone table, he caught sight of the little girl who still lay quietly within his alternate dimension. Worried she wouldn’t know the way home, Liu Yunfei didn’t venture far. He landed in the woods beside the main road and placed the girl gently in the grass.
The girl was still unconscious. Liu Yunfei tried to rouse her, but she remained unresponsive. With no other option, he sat beside her. The hurried events of the afternoon had left the girl without a chance to put on her clothes; she was still naked. Liu Yunfei had never carefully observed a real girl’s body; even the last time with Shalena had been only a fleeting glance, unlike now, with the girl in a deep faint, unable to react or resist.
His mind was emptied of all thoughts, only feeling his hand drawn inexorably toward the girl’s chest. Just beginning to develop, her small chest bore a pale, barely red bud. Liu Yunfei sat down at her side and slowly caressed and kneaded; truthfully, the sensation was not particularly pleasant. His hands wandered from her chest to her belly, her lower abdomen, finally lingering on a soft mound covered in downy hair, beneath which lay a deep valley. The skin beneath his fingers was smooth and tender, a pleasing sensation. Unfulfilled, Liu Yunfei bent forward, shifted between her legs, placing her knees on either side of his own, curiously studying the mysterious place between her thighs. It was his first time so close to a real woman’s private parts, and though the moonlight in the woods made it difficult to see clearly, excitement surged within him, hardening his body.
“She’s asleep; she won’t know. Besides, I saved her—just a little play. I’m a virgin too; she’s not losing out,” Liu Yunfei thought to himself.
Suddenly, he was startled by his own thoughts: “Is this really me? These are just excuses. If I did this, how am I any different from those beasts in the cult? What’s happened to me? In the chapel earlier, I didn’t feel this urge seeing her body.”
Liu Yunfei always thought that lolis were the favorites of older men, while boys his age still believed in love. For pure physical attraction, Liu Yunfei preferred voluptuous, mature women. How could he be so aroused by a little girl’s body?
“Could it be the poison mist? Maybe it hasn’t fully cleared, stirring up the deepest layers of my biology?” Liu Yunfei continued to ponder, his mind now cleansed of lust.
He tried again to wake the girl; still no response. It wasn’t right to leave her naked. Under his robe, he wore only underwear, and feared that undressing would tempt him again. He decided instead to take the girl back and wait for her to wake.
Back at the palace, Liu Yunfei laid the girl on his bed, covered her with a blanket, then went to the king’s quarters. He learned the old king had waited all afternoon for Liu Yunfei, worried, but had now gone to bed, instructing the guards to alert him as soon as Liu Yunfei returned.
Liu Yunfei told the guards not to disturb the king until morning—after all, the old man was over eighty. Too exhausted to return to Huangjiang, Liu Yunfei went back to his room and fell asleep on the sofa.

“Why are you staring at me?” Liu Yunfei awoke to find the little girl, wrapped in a blanket, kneeling on the carpet before him, her large eyes blinking curiously at him.
“Oh, you don’t understand English.” Liu Yunfei picked up the phone. “Owary, come here for a moment. What do you mean, it’s not five yet? Get up! The sun’s already up!”
Soon, the interpreter Owary arrived. He looked at the naked girl wrapped in a blanket with astonishment and confusion, casting a mocking glance at Liu Yunfei.
“You little rascal, what are you looking at? You’re giving me goosebumps. Stop staring, or I’ll smack you.” Liu Yunfei, without rhyme or reason, slapped at Owary. “All thanks to your damn cult. Ask her what’s going on.”
After the two talked back and forth for a while, Owary reported, “She says her name is Ram. Her family lives on the outskirts of Riyadh. Her father works at the oil plant. She has two brothers and two sisters. This time, her second brother was sick, so they went to the holy…”
“Alright, alright, I know all that. You listen up—find out what kind of people that cult is. Ask her where her home is. We’ll send her back immediately,” Liu Yunfei interrupted.
Owary spoke a few words to Ram, and suddenly the little girl knelt before Liu Yunfei, pleading tearfully, her words rapid and heart-wrenching. “She says she doesn’t want to go home. You saved her, and she wants to follow you to repay you,” Owary translated.
“Tell her I don’t need repayment. She should hurry home—her parents are waiting for her.”
“She says she doesn’t want that father. Her father only cares about sons, not daughters. He knew sending her to that evil cult meant what it did, but still sent her. She doesn’t want such a father.”
“Her father knew she would be defiled and still sent her? Are you sure? How could there be such a father? That’s monstrous!” Liu Yunfei was furious, standing up and roaring. He had always thought the man was simply deceived.

This time, Owary didn’t ask Ram, but answered directly, “Yes, I’ve asked. It’s true. Her brother’s illness couldn’t be cured at the hospital. In Saudi, sons are prized far above daughters—even for a slim chance, her father would trade his daughter for his son. Truly a beast, Master, let’s keep her here.”
“What did you say?”
“I said let’s keep her.”
“What did you call me earlier?”
“I didn’t call you anything.”
“I heard you—say ‘Master’ again. If you don’t, I’ll smack you.” Liu Yunfei felt a bit gratified; all those days spent with this kid weren’t wasted. It was the first time he’d been called ‘Master,’ probably moved by the little girl’s plight. The boy was certainly headstrong, impulsive, and rarely considered consequences, but wasn’t a bad kid. Over days spent together, Liu Yunfei found this ‘cheap’ prince rather decent. Hearing how bravely he’d rescued the girl and kicked the lecherous old man’s face, the boy had impulsively called him ‘Master.’
“Alright, alright, we’ll keep her. Go find her some clothes. Otherwise, if Shalena comes and misunderstands me with this little girl, that would be trouble.” Liu Yunfei meant to joke, forgetting his own position.
“What do you mean? Shalena? What does Shalena have to do with it? Aren’t you Shalena’s uncle? You wouldn’t… hmm? Ah!”
“You little brat, I mean Shalena might visit. What do you mean by that? Say it—see if I don’t beat you!” Liu Yunfei, embarrassed and angry, gave the boy a thorough beating and chased him out the door.
