"How about this—why don't I assign someone to train with you? That should speed things up a bit. Out of the few of us here, who would you like to pick?"

I had to admit, Xu Lin really valued me, treating my requests almost as if they were the family's orders.

I glanced around at the girls and weighed my options:

Xu Lin was out of the question—she was the boss, and it wouldn’t feel quite right to boss her around. If she lost her temper, I’d be in for it.

Xin Yu was a no-go as well—while her skills were decent, her psychological issues were too much. If she started acting wild in-game and stripped off all her clothes, I’d be mortified right along with her. Besides, I didn’t want to get too close, since few could survive her waves of drama.

Li Qing was totally unsuitable—her mental state was unstable, and she was always encouraging clients to skip protection. Having such a reckless woman by my side was just too risky!

After looking everyone over, only Liu Xuehan seemed worth considering. At least she suited my taste.

Xu Lin pursed her lips in a smile. "You want to choose Xuehan? That works—she's a priest, so you'll save on potions!"

I nodded, and so my partnership with Liu Xuehan was settled.

Dinner was surprisingly lavish. Under Xu Lin’s direction, Xin Yu had cooked a meal so delicious that everyone’s mouths watered at the aroma. I never would have guessed that, besides her talent for two-timing, Xin Yu also had such a knack for cooking. If I didn’t have issues with her promiscuity, she’d actually be a practical choice for a wife.

Xu Lin, her face aglow with smiles, filled everyone’s glass with red wine and raised her own. "To our family’s grand achievements in Moonlight Eternity—let’s toast!"

"Cheers!"

Xin Yu grinned, "What should our family be called? We’d better decide on a name first!"

Xu Lin paused, then laughed. "I almost forgot. Does anyone have a good idea? The family name should be two characters."

"Rose? How about Rose Legion?"

"Stop daydreaming. I think ‘Reflected Moon’ sounds better!"

"Give me a break—‘New Moon’ is even better!"

The discussion went on for ages without any conclusion, so Xu Lin turned to me. "Xiao Lin, what do you think?"

I considered for a moment. "As long as the name is easy to remember, that’s good enough. Flashiness isn’t important—we’re only in this for profit, not to dominate the world."

Seeing Xu Lin nod, I continued. "Generally, names are either too elegant or too vulgar. Too elegant and people feel put off; too vulgar and people feel nauseated. So a name that’s halfway between the two actually suits a small, money-driven group like us."

Xu Lin nodded again. "So what kind of name is halfway in between? Two characters."

"Hmm..." I thought for a bit, then looked at Xu Lin. "How about ‘Green Veggies’?"

Xu Lin was stunned for a moment, but soon gave a decisive nod. "Great, our family will be the Green Veggies Family!"

Even as Xin Yu protested, it was useless—the boss had agreed.

I couldn’t help but laugh privately, as an absurd image came to mind: there I was, clad in silver warrior’s armor, wielding an all-stats legendary sword, leading a group of ladies into the world of Moonlight Eternity, singing, "We are pests, we are pests!" as we trampled countless newbies underfoot, laughing wildly.

Everyone ate quickly, so quickly that some finished before the soup was ready. Liu Xuehan, seeing me set down my bowl and chopsticks, hurried over and tugged at my sleeve, whispering, "Lin Fan, could you help me set up the game gear in the second room to the right? I want to try it out first."

I glanced at the room I’d just been assigned and said in surprise, "But that’s my room!"

"Didn’t Sister Xu say just now that I’d be sharing a room with you?" Liu Xuehan’s wide, dewy eyes looked at me in innocent confusion.

A lovely girl like her sharing my room? If nothing happened, it would be a miracle!

I glanced at Xu Lin, who was watching me with an amused look, and said seriously to Liu Xuehan, "She was joking. Go ask her again which room you’re actually in."

Xu Lin had already heard me pass the ball to her. She shot me a glare, then gently said to Liu Xuehan, "You can see for yourself—the other three rooms have already been claimed. How about this: there’s a study next to Xiao Lin’s room. You can sleep there. As for playing the game, look, the living room is so spacious, and we’ll hardly ever have guests. Why don’t you just set up your rig by the sofa in the living room? Sitting there to play games is its own kind of comfort."

Liu Xuehan was never one for making her own decisions, and Xu Lin’s reasoning was sound, so she agreed without much thought.

After that, things were simple. Using Liu Xuehan’s equipment, I demonstrated in the living room how to assemble the computer. The tower was already put together, and the connection cables for the VR helmet were clearly labeled. In truth, it was all plug-and-play. What interested me most was the special Moonlight Eternity gaming keyboard. Unlike traditional keyboards, this one was made of a liquid crystal sensor. When the power was off, it looked like a stylish piece of glass, but once I plugged it in, it became a glowing, blue control panel. The sensation of touching it was truly extraordinary. I’d never touched a woman’s breast, but I swear on my grandmother’s name—it must feel even better than that!

Clapping my hands, I turned to the girls. "Alright, everyone, give it a try. There’s a training game pre-installed on the main unit. Make sure to play it first so you don’t get flustered when the real game starts!"

My words had the desired effect. The girls eagerly grabbed their equipment and rushed to their rooms. Xu Lin smiled and said, "Each account has already been coded onto the VR helmet. The first time you put on the helmet, it’ll ask if you want to set up iris recognition, so you never have to worry about account theft again."

"Alright, I’m off to lock the door. Call me when we go shopping tomorrow."
