There were thirty-two people on the opposing side, mostly ranged attack classes. Looking at the formation they were marching in, I had a lingering feeling that they were harboring malicious intentions.

Murong Shanshan suddenly pulled me backward, ducking into the tall grass. Surprised, I asked, "Why are we hiding?"

"You really aren't clever when people call you a dummy!" Murong Shanshan pouted, saying with ambitious determination, "If they see our bright red names, they'll definitely attack at once. But if they see who we are, they might not even dare to make a move. Oh, I'm so torn—is it better to fight or not to fight?"

In the distance, we saw that crowd approaching Xu Lin and the others. Guozi, guarding the very front, looked somewhat uneasy and couldn't help glancing backward.

Almost at the same time my illusory figure appeared directly in front of Invincible Across the World, Xin Yu and Xu Lin were slightly surprised at first, but quickly broke into faint smiles.

Guozi didn't have much of a temper either, and immediately replied with a smile, "What the hell do you think you are? A bunch of trash calling yourselves the Righteous Faction? It's hilarious. Stop coming out to humiliate yourselves!"

The face of Invincible Across the World turned a deep shade of purple. "Damn it! Wipe out this bunch of ungrateful stinking bitches!"

Almost instantly, nearly twenty attacks landed on Guozi. Although Guozi was newly equipped with a top-tier shield, her health still plummeted to empty. Lu Xuehan's healing spell arrived right after, but unfortunately, Guozi's health pool wasn't particularly large, and when the second wave of attacks hit, she was instantly killed.

Though Guozi had fallen, her sacrifice was well worth it because more than twenty out of their thirty-two members had now turned gray-named.

Seizing the rare opportunity, I immediately shouted, "Attack!" The Dark Blade swiftly cleaved into the body of Invincible Across the World, instantly triggering Combo and Heavy Strike. Invincible Across the World didn't even have time to groan before he dropped dead, dropping a warrior's helmet in the process.

Nobody had the time to pick up the equipment. Instead, Invincible Across the World's subordinates rushed forward to loot, only to be instantly mowed down by Xin Yu's torrential Multi-Shot, wiping out several players in the blink of an eye. The purple bow truly lived up to its legendary reputation; Xin Yu's damage output right now was probably not much lower than mine.

A piercing scream came from behind me. Turning around, I saw Joly vanish. It seemed she was in deep trouble.

My sudden appearance exerted immense pressure on the enemy, and Murong Shanshan popping up from behind them out of nowhere dealt a truly devastating blow. Their original formation instantly dissolved into chaos.

A few seconds later, out of the thirty-two players, some were dead and others had fled, leaving only a handful standing there at a complete loss.

Xu Lin waved her hand, signaling everyone to hold their attacks, then stepped forward and asked, "What is this Righteous Faction you keep talking about? Who is your leader?"

The surviving players realized it was too late to return to town, so they obediently confessed. It turned out their guild leader was a 42-year-old knight named "Let Go of That Girl." Although he had plenty of underlings, he lacked prestige, so despite obtaining a guild creation token, he ended up selling it to Gallant Youth.

I stepped forward and asked, "What's the deal with that Invincible Across the World guy just now? Why was he acting so arrogant?"

"He's the cousin of our leader's friend. That kid is arrogant and overbearing, treating even his own brothers poorly, and he's extremely lustful—thankfully, this game doesn't support the possibility of rape."

Murong Shanshan looked stunned. "So it's him? No wonder he looked so familiar..."

I vaguely remembered that the cousin of Berserk might have pursued Murong Shanshan once upon a time. Could it really be him?

On our side, two people had fallen—Guozi and Joly. Fortunately, both had just hit level 36, meaning they had very little current-level experience accumulated, resulting in virtually no real losses.

Shortly after, Guozi and Joly ran back over, and we resumed leveling.

I had to admit, wiping out the Righteous Faction squad was indeed a smart choice. Now, the open plain belonged entirely to our group. After sweeping through the area for a few rounds, Guozi and the others each gained another level. The monsters here were level 46, a full ten levels higher than Guozi, and the massive experience bonus rewards nearly made them ecstatic.

Xin Yu giggled and said nothing more. Xu Lin tidied up the leveling grounds, making sure no dropped loot was left behind, before leading Xin Yu and Lu Xuehan back to town. Since Murong Shanshan and I couldn't enter the city, we had to head back to the wilderness camp to repair our gear. Quite a few players from the Swords and Roses guild who intended to pull an all-nighter were gathered there; they greeted Murong Shanshan before heading into the forest in teams.

Murong Shanshan smiled and remarked, "Things are looking great. The members of our guild should be a bit higher in level than those of other guilds by now."

I glanced at her and said, "It's already 11 o'clock. Go wash up and get to sleep early. And remember to lock your doors tightly tonight—if anyone you don't recognize knocks, absolutely do not open it, no matter what!"

"All right, all right, I know! You log off too!"

"Oh, right, tomorrow I won't be able to log in until the afternoon, so you can level by yourself in the morning."

Murong Shanshan asked in surprise, "Got something to do?"

Xin Yu immediately shot me a flirtatious glance. "Are you telling me you don't like it?"

Hesitating for a moment, I pulled Xin Yu aside and muttered, "You can dress however you want at home, but when we're out, you should still dress a bit more decently."

Xin Yu blinked in surprise, then burst into a charming smile. "Let's go! We have a lot of things to buy this morning!"

Overhearing this, I said fiercely, "Damn it, I'm definitely buying a BMW another day just to thoroughly look down on these punk students!"

Xin Yu didn't express agreement or disagreement, merely saying, "You're starting to look more and more like a nouveau riche!"
