Chapter 121: Fire-Type Candidate

“So, you actually want to die?”
Little Cai came bounding over from a distance, with the blue-robed fat man following behind her. Though neither of them used any supernatural ability, their steps were astonishingly swift, and before long they had reached Tu Lu’s back.
The moment he saw Tu Lu, the blue-robed fat man knew that his guess had been wrong. Although the young man had clearly come from the same plane as Little Cai, he was unmistakably human. He could not understand why Little Cai had sought out a human, but that was hardly important. From the moment he had accepted Little Cai, he had become nothing more than a dog at her side. A dog, naturally, had no business asking what its master intended to do.
“How presumptuous! Since you have come, you may as well stay. This hidden treasure vault is rather dangerous, so you can all scout the way for us. To serve the Ancient Purple Cloud Palace is your honor!”
The short young man shouted coldly.
His gaze lingered on Little Cai’s still-youthful yet graceful figure, and his eyes gleamed with desire. Exploring the hidden vault was naturally their first priority, but if this woman survived, he would not mind having a little fun with her.
At that moment, however, Tu Lu’s eyes were filled with sheer surprise.
He had never imagined that the first familiar face he would encounter here would be Little Cai. But when he remembered that this place was probably some secluded location within the Thunder Demon Mountains, it no longer seemed so strange.
Naturally, he still did not know that he had inadvertently opened the Primordial Starway and had become an exceedingly rare compatible candidate. This place was not the Thunder Demon Mountains—or even his original world. It could more accurately be called a region of outer space.
“Hee hee, Young Master, you never expected this, did you? You hid yourself here, but I came all this way especially to find you.”
The speaker may have meant nothing by those words, but the listener took them to heart. The blue-robed fat man’s heart gave a startled leap.
This calamity incarnate had come to the Taixuan Realm specifically to find this young man. Just who was he?
While he was still wavering between shock and suspicion, the short young man and the others had grown impatient. They had never expected anyone to dare ignore their young master’s words, and it left them furious.
“You worthless bastards! The young master is talking to you. Have you gone deaf?”

As he spoke, Purple White swung his fist. After what had happened earlier, he held nothing back this time and unleashed his full strength.
Tu Lu’s expression shifted slightly.
Although he had already begun to suspect that these people were all show and no substance, he was not completely certain. Thus, when Purple White attacked with all his strength, Tu Lu was still startled.
No matter what!
Tu Lu clenched his teeth. The blood and vital energy within his body churned, radiating silver-white sparks, while a terrifying force gathered in his fist. The power remained restrained, yet its might was dreadful. Only when the wind from Purple White’s fist struck his face did Tu Lu finally see through his opponent completely, and he was just about to send his own punch crashing out.
But at that very moment, Little Cai puffed out her cheeks, clearly displeased.
“Young Master, these people are so noisy. Allow me to deal with them for you.”
With that, she giggled and poked one finger toward Purple White.
Little Cai’s aura was that of someone who had reached half a step into the Profound Heaven Realm, roughly equal to his own. Although Purple White had already condensed part of the Taixuan Body, he had remained somewhat cautious. But when he saw her arrogantly thrust a single finger at him, his confidence immediately soared.
He would smash that finger with one punch and teach her the meaning of heaven’s vastness and earth’s enormity!
The short young man naturally saw this as well. Though he frowned slightly, he said nothing. As long as Little Cai was left with a breath in her, that was enough.
Tu Lu’s expression changed. Little Cai’s attack had come too suddenly. With all his vital energy compressed into his fist, he had no time to stop her.
“Hahaha! Die!”
Purple White threw back his head and laughed as his fist collided with Little Cai’s fingertip.

Yet in the very next instant, his expression froze. The moment they made contact, his aura had already vanished.
In the next instant, his body crumbled into a heap of withered bones.
Little Cai casually flicked her finger. Several streams of gray-white energy shot from her fingertip, streaking straight toward the short young man and his three companions.
“Not good!”
The short young man finally realized that they had provoked someone beyond their power to offend. He immediately let out a roar, and dozens of fiery streams of energy suddenly burst from his body. Almost the instant Little Cai’s power drew near, the flames collided head-on with the gray-white energy.
The short young man’s face went deathly pale. He staggered backward dozens of steps, then turned and fled without the slightest hesitation. The other three were not so fortunate. Under Little Cai’s single finger, they were reduced directly to withered bones.
“A fire-aligned compatible candidate?”
A glint flashed through Little Cai’s eyes, and she was about to pursue him when Tu Lu stopped her.
“You are… Little Cai?”
He asked the question uncertainly.
