Wen Shaoran carried Su Wan into the car. Throughout this process, Su Wan was aware of what was happening, but it was as if all her strength had been drained away; she could not move. She bit her lip hard, already guessing what was going on.

He had given her something to eat!

Sensing the hatred in Su Wan’s gaze, Wen Shaoran glanced at her and smiled. “Don’t look at me like that. This marriage is the best choice for both of us. Since you refuse to move forward, I have no choice but to give you a push.”

“Despicable!” Su Wan finally managed to utter those two words. Wen Shaoran laughed, giving her a sidelong glance. “You’d better save your strength.”

Her hand trembling, Su Wan tried to make a call, but Wen Shaoran snatched her phone away and switched it off. As Su Wan attempted to snatch it back, he simply tossed it out the car window, where it vanished at once.

“Bastard!”

Wen Shaoran sneered coldly and stepped on the accelerator.

When Pi Zi entered, Mu Yunshen was sitting inside drinking. The bottle before him was already more than half empty.

Unable to help himself, Pi Zi stepped forward. “Shen, stop drinking!”

Mu Yunshen didn’t even look at him, continuing to drink.

Pi Zi frowned. “If you keep drinking like this, sister-in-law—no, Sister Su, won’t come back!”

“Who said I’m doing this because of her?” Mu Yunshen’s eyes suddenly darkened as he glanced over. “Can’t I drink for myself?”

“Shen…”

“Enough. Get lost!”

Seeing him like that, Pi Zi could only rub his nose and turn to leave.

Feeling suffocated, he stepped outside to get some air, but right then he spotted a car parked at the entrance of the hotel across the street. Pi Zi remembered—that was Shen’s rival’s car.

His eyes narrowed as he walked over. He hadn’t even crossed the street when he saw someone get out of the car, carrying someone in their arms…

Pi Zi’s expression changed instantly; without a second thought, he rushed back. “Shen, something’s wrong!”

Wen Shaoran carried Su Wan straight into the elevator, heading to the room he had already arranged. Thanks to Su Yichuan, things had gone remarkably smoothly for him this time. Having tasted the sweetness of success, how could he possibly let go now?

As long as he got Su Wan tonight, Su Yichuan would never let her call off the engagement.

At that moment, Su Wan had completely lost consciousness. After laying her on the bed, Wen Shaoran began to remove her clothes.

Su Wan’s brows were furrowed tightly, as if she was struggling even in her sleep.

But having just drunk that bowl of soup, she wouldn’t wake up for several hours.

Wen Shaoran smiled, lowered his head, and kissed her cheek. “I don’t want to do this either, but I have no choice. After all, your surname is Su.”

With those words, his hand already had her dress off, and he was just undoing his own belt when a knock came at the door.

Annoyed, Wen Shaoran frowned. “Who is it?”

No answer came—only persistent knocking.

Glancing at the person on the bed, Wen Shaoran nonetheless got up and went to the door.

“Who is it?”

Still no answer. Wen Shaoran slid the chain lock into place and opened the door.

But when he saw the face outside, Wen Shaoran’s expression changed instantly. Without thinking, he tried to slam the door shut, but Mu Yunshen’s hand blocked it.

Because of the chain lock, Mu Yunshen couldn’t get in, but his face darkened and he kicked the door open with one powerful move.
