It had been three days.

Su Wan knocked on the door in front of her, feeling a little impatient. “Open the door!”

There was still no response from outside.

Ever since that night, Su Yichuan had locked her in this room. Every day, someone would bring her meals at set times, but at all other times, the door remained firmly shut.

Her phone had also been confiscated, cutting off all her contact with the outside world.

The more she thought about it, the more agitated she became. As she sat on the bed, seething with frustration, she suddenly heard the door open.

Su Wan immediately turned around and saw Wen Shaoran walk in.

“What are you doing here?” Su Wan’s brows furrowed at once.

“Why shouldn’t I be here? Don’t forget, I was once your fiancé.”

Su Wan let out a cold laugh. “Fiancé? Where were you when my father and I had guns pressed to our heads?”

“I was being held down at that time. Otherwise, I would’ve saved you both—Mu Yunshen just happened to get there first.”

Su Wan couldn’t be bothered to talk to him.

Wen Shaoran looked at her. “Not easy, being locked up here, is it?”

Su Wan kept flipping through the book in front of her, not speaking, not even sparing him a glance.

Wen Shaoran went on, “Actually, if you want to get out, I have a way.”

Su Wan immediately looked up at him.

Wen Shaoran smiled. “As long as you agree to marry me, I’ll take you out. It would be perfectly reasonable.”

“In your dreams!” Su Wan gritted her teeth.

“I know you’re unwilling, but right now, you have no other choice but to listen to me. Don’t worry, our marriage… would only be for show.”

Su Wan frowned at him.

“All I want is your father’s status. Once it’s announced, we can postpone the wedding. I could even help you cover things up with Mu Yunshen—wouldn’t that be great?”

Su Wan said nothing.

Wen Shaoran smiled. “I know you need time to consider, but if you refuse, you could be locked up here for a month. Is that what you want?”

“I can agree,” Su Wan said, “but before that, you have to help me get out of here first!”

“Now?”

“Now.”

Wen Shaoran looked at her for a long time, then nodded. “Alright.”

Su Yichuan was very satisfied with Wen Shaoran as his future son-in-law. When he heard that Su Wan had agreed to marry him and the two wanted to go out for a meal, he was delighted and gave his consent immediately.

Wen Shaoran took Su Wan’s hand. “Thank you, Uncle. Don’t worry, I’ll bring Wanwan back early!”

Su Wan suppressed her disgust, pressing her lips together and saying nothing.

The two left the Su house without any trouble.

“I want to go to the bar,” Su Wan said without hesitation.

Wen Shaoran glanced at her. “So eager to go see him?”

“You said you wouldn’t interfere in my affairs,” Su Wan replied.

Wen Shaoran nodded. “Alright, alright, I’ll take you.”

At that hour, dusk had not yet fallen, and the bar still had a closed sign hanging at the door. Su Wan ignored it and walked straight in.

“Miss, we’re still—oh, Su!”

Su Wan turned around and saw it was the blond man always by Mu Yunshen’s side—Pi Zi.

Pi Zi recognized her instantly. “What brings you here?”

“I… I’m looking for Mu Yunshen!”

“You’re looking for Shen?” Pi Zi scratched his head, looking a bit troubled. “Shen might… not be able to see you right now.”

“Why?” Su Wan’s heart skipped a beat.

Pi Zi thought for a moment, then said, “But it should be fine—I’ll take you to him.”
