Chapter 158: Jade holding the talismans is invincible!
Jingle, jingle...
The sound of the merry-go-round echoed in the air, accompanied by the joyful laughter of children playing nearby. Among them, however, one child wore an expression of deep distress.
This child was Jade, who had sneaked out. After escaping from Uncle's Antique Shop, Jade made her way straight to the amusement park she had always wanted to visit.
Yet, once she actually got on the amusement rides, Jade didn't feel nearly as happy as she had when she first ran away.
Her homework wasn't finished... She had taken the talismans... She had made Tohru angry... She was definitely going to get scolded and punished when she got back... And on top of all that, this wasn't fun at all...
Sighing deeply, Jade glanced down at the talisman in her hand.
She should just go home. If she went back early, the punishment might not be too severe.
Outside the merry-go-round, Stan's eyes tracked Jade's revolving form, his entire body trembling uncontrollably.
The stench of Hell's laws...
The Hell Pact inside Stan constantly urged him to hurry to the sealing site, but sensing the laws of Hell made Stan act like a dog catching a whiff of excrement; he couldn't force his legs to move forward.
Soon, the merry-go-round came to a stop. The moment the exit gate swung open, Stan shoved the people in front of him aside with both hands and squeezed straight through.
He wanted to act like a normal person, but what normal person acted like he was doing right now?
The parents who wanted to scold him were suddenly overwhelmed by an inexplicable, oppressive aura the moment they laid eyes on Stan, and they hurriedly grabbed their children and fled.
Jade leaped off her horse, only to suddenly notice that the talisman in her hand, engraved with the image of a horse, was glowing.
"Little girl... can Uncle take a look at what you're holding?" Stan said, forcing a creepy smile as he approached Jade.
Jade took a step back. A creepy weirdo?!
"I can give you money, lots and lots of money, enough to buy the entire amusement park!" Stan grew increasingly agitated, waving his arms wildly as if he were a lunatic.
Jade looked at Stan with vigilance. This guy definitely didn't look like a good person!
She glanced around, only to realize that everyone nearby had vanished.
Stan was growing anxious inside. Why hadn't the spells he learned from the Hell Pact taken effect?!
Clearly, everyone else had been frightened away by the terror spell, yet the little girl in front of him showed no reaction at all.
"Give it to me!" Stan shouted angrily, his patience completely exhausted as sulfur smoke puffed out from his nostrils.
"Don't come any closer! Or else I won't be polite!" Jade held up the talisman, pointing it at Stan.
Roar! Stan emitted a roar that didn't sound human and lunged toward Jade.
Rooster - Levitation!
With a flick of Jade's hand, Stan was suspended directly in mid-air, rising higher and higher away from the ground.
"I'll tear you to pieces!" Stan stopped pretending! Disguise lifted! Demonization!
The crude and violent nature of a demon was fully displayed on his body. Transforming entirely into a cheap, bootleg clawed demon, the Hell Pact surfaced from within Stan's body, instantly shattering the control of the Rooster Talisman.
Rooster and Rabbit - Super Speed Flight!
Jade tapped the tips of her toes lightly, dodging Stan's pouncing attack.
Stan pointed his sharp claws at Jade in the sky, a steady stream of crimson blood qi gushing from his body. Through the conversion of the Hell Pact, it transformed into a barrage of crowd-control spells shooting toward Jade.
Horse - Cure All Illusions and Ailments!
Jade grasped the Horse Talisman in her other hand, holding it before her as a shield. Every single hellish spell crashed against the Horse Talisman and was instantly dispersed into a puff of smoke.
Pig - Laser Eyes!
Two deep red lasers shot from Jade's eyes, striking the leaping Stan and blasting him straight back down to the ground.
Dragon - Scorching Fireburst!
Jade took a deep breath and then exhaled fiercely. The surging flames instantly engulfed Stan and the surrounding area in a sea of fire. The amusement park's fire sprinkler system activated automatically, spraying torrents of water from every direction.
I didn't kill him, did I...?
Jade descended slightly, looking downward with a hint of worry. Suddenly, a claw burst forth from the molten ground.
Run! The thought flashed through Jade's mind, and she immediately began flying toward home.
After flying a few dozen meters, Jade saw the panicked crowds in other parts of the amusement park reacting to the alarm, and she immediately stopped. She couldn't just leave like this!
Clenching her teeth and stamping her foot, Jade flew back. By this time, half of Stan's body had emerged from the magma. His body emitted a scorched odor, but he was clearly still very much alive.
Rooster - Levitation!
Jade pointed at the massive patch of ground. Magma, earth, and debris converged around Stan, enveloping him into a giant sphere.
Then, hauling this massive cluster of materials, Jade soared high into the sky.
Bang, bang, bang! Clang, clang, clang!
Inside the sphere, Stan launched a frantic, struggling assault on his surroundings. Once he broke free, he would tear that brat into tiny pieces!
Flying all the way out over the ocean, Jade hesitated for a brief moment before dropping the still-churning magma sphere straight down.
Hiss—waves of steam billowed upward.
Cooled and solidified into a solid mass, Stan sank down toward the ocean floor.
Having dealt with this matter, Jade flew back toward Uncle's Antique Shop.
"Evil spirits and demons, begone... Evil spirits and demons, begone..."
Just as she reached the storefront, a beam of magic struck Jade squarely.
With a soft thud, Jade tumbled to the ground, and the talismans on her body floated out one by one.
Uncle, Jackie Chan, and Guan Zhen all wore grim expressions.
Jade climbed up from the floor, keeping her head down as she obediently waited to be lectured.
Uncle opened his mouth to speak, then *smack*, delivered a heavy blow to Jackie's head.
Jackie blinked in confusion. He wasn't the one who made a mistake, why was Uncle hitting him again?!
Uncle gave him a pointed look. Weren't you going to question her?! Did Uncle have to do everything himself?!
Uncle... you really spoil her rotten...
Jackie sighed, walked over, and squatted down in front of Jade. "Does Jade know she was wrong?"
"I know..." Jade looked left and right, scurried over to the bookshelf to gather a large stack of reference materials, ran back, and hoisted them high above her head with both hands, obediently standing in the corner for punishment.
"Let's put that aside for a moment. Little girl, where did you go? What did you do?" Guan Zhen asked urgently.
"I didn't do anything special, I just went to the amusement park. Then a bad guy popped out and tried to grab the talismans. When I wouldn't give them to him, he turned into a monster."
"So I rolled him up into a giant ball with some magma and other stuff, and threw him into the sea!"
Jade recounted everything honestly, missing not a single detail.
Sensing something was amiss, Uncle walked over to Jade and waved his hand in the air. That was the stench of demonic residue!
"TOHRU!!!" Uncle roared at the top of his lungs.
"Coming, coming!" Tohru came running out from the back of the shop carrying a massive water vat on his head; he was undergoing punishment as well.
"Sample the aura on Jade, then take her to the backyard and make her stand in the corner for two hours first!" Uncle's fury was rising. Jade had likely encountered a demon, which was far too dangerous and required a severe lesson.
"Jackie! Take the Secretary and contact the headmaster and the others. Go check if there's any problem with the seal!" Uncle continued.
"Yes!"
