So hot. Those lunatics! To think they were carrying such a high-yield bomb!

Wrapped in flames, Ye Tian’s field of vision was consumed by an endless sea of red. Accompanied by shrill screams and a deafening roar, a powerful shockwave knocked him unconscious. The power of the blast was far more terrifying than he had imagined.

When he finally opened his eyes, he found himself lying on an unfamiliar tatami mat. Above him was a dim light, the room smelled of mold, and beside him stood a sliding closet.

Where was he?

Surveying his surroundings, the only thing he was certain of was that this was definitely not the Dragon Kingdom, nor was it the Peninsula. Could it be that during his blackout, the ocean currents had swept him onto some unknown island?

Ye Tian struggled to sit up, frowning as he looked down at his abdomen. A large shard of metal—likely a piece of aircraft fuselage—was embedded in his side. However, the edges of the wound had been wiped clean, and a layer of fresh gauze had been wrapped around it.

"Goji goji!"

An unfamiliar language drifted in from outside the room. A cute young girl with her hair in a bun and a round face appeared, leading a hunchbacked old man toward him. The moment she saw Ye Tian, her eyes widened in shock. She rushed forward, chattering away in a language he couldn’t understand.

Japanese?

Ye Tian raised an eyebrow. Ignoring the sharp pain in his abdomen, he stood up directly. He hadn't expected the currents to carry him all the way to Japan!

How fortunate...

The Peninsula was not far from Japan, but the vast expanse of the East Ocean was filled with countless islands. For him to have washed up on one—even if it were an uninhabited one—was a miracle. And now, he had actually reached Japan! That was perfect. He could just take a car to Hokkaido, find the Ito family, and have them contact Ye Xiaomei so he could return home.

But, how did one speak Japanese again?

Seeing the girl’s panicked expression, Ye Tian tried to explain, but she pulled out a wooden clapper and tapped him on the head, looking quite indignant.

"Lie down! Lie down!"

Sachiko frowned, forcibly pressing Ye Tian back down to keep him lying flat on the bed. "Honestly, you're so severely injured, yet you dare to just get up? This is a life-threatening wound!" As she spoke, she turned to the old man beside her respectfully. "Grandpa, please, take a look at him."

"Hm." The old man nodded, frowning as he examined Ye Tian’s lower abdomen.

After a long while, he took the wooden clapper and tapped on the metal shard.

"Sss!" Ye Tian’s eyes snapped wide open. Old man, is that how you treat a patient? You're shaking my internal organs!

After a moment, the old man turned to Sachiko with a solemn expression. "This boy is beyond saving. The metal shard has pierced his organs, completely destroying his intestines and pancreas. Even if we sent him to a major hospital in the city, there wouldn't be enough time!"

"Ah, why?" Sachiko looked anxious. "But Grandpa, I’ve already had him here for three whole days since I pulled him from the sea! At the time, I thought he was dead and was preparing to bury him, but then I noticed he was still breathing. To survive this long with a metal shard through his body—he’s such a lucky boy!"

The old man muttered to himself, shook his head, and stood up to leave. Before he left, he repeated his warning: "Prepare for his funeral. He hasn't got much time left."

"What are you babbling about?" Ye Tian asked, looking at Sachiko in confusion, speaking in the language of the Dragon Kingdom.

"Don't ask, just lie still, you'll be fine," Sachiko said, unable to understand him, offering comfort in Japanese before turning to leave.

A large hand grabbed her.

"I... need... a Japanese language book!" Ye Tian gestured.

"I don't understand. Just lie down," Sachiko said with a sigh. The boy seemed to be a foreigner; she couldn't even communicate with him. If they could talk, she might have been able to ask about his final wishes. After all, her grandfather was the village’s miracle doctor; if he said the boy was a lost cause, then death was truly close at hand. How pitiful.

The girl sighed and walked away.

Communication really is difficult...

Once the girl left, Ye Tian stood up from the bed, grabbed the large metal shard, and yanked it out. Blood and intestines spilled out! If the girl had seen this, she would have likely fainted on the spot, or perhaps labeled him a lunatic.

Blood continued to gush, but Ye Tian didn't panic. He stuffed his exposed intestines back in and pressed his palm against the opening. A Qi-Gathering Pellet flew from his sleeve and he swallowed it. Within moments, the massive wound sealed shut and began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye!

With the Jiaolong Inner Core, any wound that would be fatal to a mortal was merely a minor injury to him. Unless it was a Heavenly Lightning Tribulation, he could regenerate his physical body even if his head were cut off!

After wiping away the blood, Ye Tian put on his clothes and stepped out of the room, wandering casually through the small courtyard. It seemed to be a remote fishing village, but looking up, he could see the skyscrapers of a city in the distance. Unlike the hustle and bustle of the city, this place was incredibly tranquil. The sounds of insects and birds after the rain echoed in his ears.

"Quite pleasant," Ye Tian mused, squinting his eyes. He hadn't expected to experience such a sense of ease, reminiscent of his time on the mountain, in this foreign land.

"Hey! Why are you out again? Do you have a death wish?" Sachiko, who was busy hanging up laundry, saw Ye Tian walking around the courtyard barefoot and was instantly incensed. This boy was already on the verge of death and yet he was so stubborn.

"I’m really fine, you don't need to worry," Ye Tian said helplessly. But since she couldn't understand him, she kept pulling him toward the room.

Resigned, Ye Tian lifted his shirt to show her his smooth, unblemished abdomen.

"Eh? Eh?!" Sachiko stared in disbelief, letting out a sharp shriek!

"What is it, Sachiko? Is that brat bullying you?" A bald old man ran out of the house, wielding a broom, and smacked it against Ye Tian’s face. "You brat! Not only are you ungrateful, but you dare to bully my granddaughter!"

"It’s not like that, Grandpa, you’ve misunderstood!" Sachiko hurriedly stopped the old man, then lifted Ye Tian’s shirt to show him.

"Good heavens!" The old man let out an identical shriek.

How was this possible? Why had such a severe penetrating wound healed so suddenly? This was not scientific! The old man circled Ye Tian several times, and after confirming he hadn't seen wrong, he poked his abdomen with the broom.
