Chapter 163 Extra: Baby, Are You Choosing Me or Someone Else?
Luoxing participated in the core research and development of the phase-two testing project under Professor Corwin. The success of the project prompted numerous major corporations to extend olive branches to her.
When someone asked Gu Shiyan whether Luoxing would stay at Kesheng and remain by his side, Gu Shiyan's reply was: "I'm not sure. It's her choice; I might just be one of her backup options."
Upon returning home that evening, however, Gu Shiyan refused to let go of Luoxing, burying his face against her and acting like a spoiled child: "Baby, are you going to choose me or someone else..."
Luoxing was intently staring at her computer screen. Having just returned home after attending an academic conference, she was busy polishing a research paper.
"Let's aim for a Tier 1 journal, I..." Luoxing scrolled with her mouse, her sentence trailing off as she felt the silence coming from the person beside her.
She turned her head to look at him. "What's wrong with you?"
"I asked which company you're choosing to stay at after graduation, not whether your SCI paper is going to be published in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 journal."
"Ah..."
Luoxing pressed her lips together and casually forked a piece of freshly cut mango from the plate beside her to eat. "Well..."
She forked another piece of fruit and fed it to Gu Shiyan. "Didn't you say you'd support me no matter what I choose?"
Gu Shiyan stared at her, accepted the fruit she fed him, and then placed the fork she was holding down to the side.
His hand firmly gripped her wrist.
Gu Shiyan pulled her into his embrace. "I just want to be with you..."
His voice was slightly muffled, his body pressed tightly against Luoxing's in flawless intimacy.
Luoxing was lifted up and seated on the study desk. His palm pressed against her thigh, and his lifted eyes were sincere and burning with passion.

"Really?" Luoxing started talking nonsense. "But everyone around me suggests that I continue my higher education..."
Gu Shiyan kissed her, one arm wrapped around the back of her neck to prevent her from running away, while his other palm tightly gripped the small of her back.
Brushing against her lips, he murmured, "You don't want me anymore."
His neatly ironed shirt was pressed into messy wrinkles, and Luoxing's fingertips hooked into his tie. "As if."
The floor-to-ceiling windows reflected their intimate silhouettes.
Luoxing was dressed relatively formally today in a white shirt with a small V-neck, the sleeves rolled up to her elbows to reveal a delicate watch—a matching couple's edition with the one on Gu Shiyan's wrist.
The tiny buttons were terribly difficult to undo, prompting Gu Shiyan to mutter, "Whoever designed these buttons definitely has no sex life."
"......"
Gu Shiyan's hand slid toward her waist.
Luoxing pressed her hand over his. "Right here?"
"Mhm."
"......" Luoxing fell silent.
Gu Shiyan kissed her earlobe. "Baby."
Luoxing sighed. "At least turn off the lights."
"No one can see."
Luoxing gave him a light kick, but Gu Shiyan went ahead and turned off the lights anyway.
The desk lamp cast the only warm glow in the pitch-black room.
Their clinging silhouettes were projected onto the wall.

Gu Shiyan's hand instinctively moved toward her slightly trembling lower back.
With Gu Shiyan holding her up by the arms, Luoxing pulled her shirt up and over her head.
Gu Shiyan glanced down and smiled, burying his face against Luoxing's ear. "New, huh? The baby still loves lace as much as ever."
Luoxing pinched him. "You're not allowed to speak."
"I can't help it." Gu Shiyan gave her a light bite.
Luoxing shrank back. "You're not allowed to bite people."
"I can't hear you."
Plunged into the darkness, people inevitably grow bolder, and Luoxing stopped paying attention to Gu Shiyan.
She crossed her hands behind Gu Shiyan's neck, her fingertips slowly stroking and brushing against the stud earring he wore on his earlobe.
It was shaped like a star.
"Baby, will you relax a little, please?"
"Let's go to the bed."
"Ah..." Gu Shiyan dragged out the syllable, clearly reluctant. "You just made a promise to me."
Gu Shiyan temporarily released her and yanked at his tie. Barely two buttons were undone before he impatiently pulled his shirt off over his head.
