"Ah, it hurts, it hurts!"
Just moments ago, Qiao Sheng was swaggering about, but now Qin Yu had him pinned to the ground with a deft maneuver, immediately landing two blows squarely on his face.
Qiao Sheng might have been formidable among these frail patients, but in front of Qin Yu, he was nothing more than a scrawny dog.
Even ten of him wouldn’t be a match for her.
"Brother Qiao Sheng, what did you mean by those words just now?" Qin Yu smiled, appearing harmless.
Qiao Sheng, his face bruised and swollen, didn’t dare utter a word. "I meant nothing, nothing at all. Spare me, hero, spare me!"
Beneath her, Qiao Sheng begged for mercy, but suddenly from afar, a bucket of slop was hurled over.
Qin Yu dodged nimbly, and the entire bucketful landed squarely on Qiao Sheng’s head.
Qin Yu watched coldly as the man who had thrown the slop gasped for breath.
Where he found the courage, no one knew, but he flung the bucket at her as well.
"You disrespect the envoy—are you trying to drag us into disaster with you?"
Every word seemed to threaten to tear his frail body apart, yet he accused Qin Yu with righteous indignation.
Once the first voice spoke, others followed.
Mu Ling, hovering overhead, could not bear to watch any longer. He rolled up his sleeves, ready to teach these villagers a lesson.
"Are they out of their minds? They’ve been harmed to this extent, yet they defend the very person who brought them harm. Xiao Yu, can you tolerate this?"
Qin Yu’s upper eyelid twitched. "Not in the slightest."
She scanned the crowd, pointing at several people. "That one, that one, and that one—they shouted the loudest. Go a bit harder on them."
Mu Ling received her command and eagerly readied himself.

The villagers couldn’t hear Qin Yu and Mu Ling’s conversation and hadn’t realized what was happening, but suddenly something dark and ominous swooped down upon them.
In a moment, screams filled the air.
Most crucially, they couldn’t even see who was beating them.
Qin Yu was greatly satisfied. She turned to the others, showing her fists. "Any other objections?"
The rest swallowed hard, angry but too afraid to speak out.
Turning around, Qin Yu noticed that Qiao Sheng, who had been sprawled on the ground, was nowhere to be seen.
Not long after, from the deepest part of the village came a low roar.
"Who dares to make trouble on my turf?"
Listening closely, it was a woman’s voice.
At her words, everyone around fell to their knees in terror.
"Mercy, goddess! Mercy, goddess!"
"Calm your anger, goddess! Calm your anger!"
"Forgive us, goddess!"
Qin Yu eyed their uniform formation, inwardly speechless.
Mu Ling was excited.
He tossed aside the weakling in his hands without care.
He hoped the next opponent would be a real challenge.

Qin Yu cast him a sidelong glance—such ambition!
Slowly, a familiar figure limped into view before Qin Yu.
"Master Buddha, it’s her! She disrespected the goddess! Please deal with her!"
Qin Yu had expected the Buddha to be an elderly man with white hair, but to her surprise, it was a young woman.
She wore a pale yellow robe trimmed with gold, her long hair fashioned into a high bun atop her head, and simple blue cloth shoes on her feet.
Her features were delicate, her brows arched like distant hills, and her eyes shimmered with watery brilliance. Her lips were naturally rosy without the touch of paint.
If not for the aura she carried, Qin Yu would have called her beautiful.
The Buddha gazed at Qin Yu, her lovely eyes moving gently, her tone so soft as to be almost unreal. "Siqiu, I’ve heard much about you."
"If you knew I was coming, why did you let me in? Are you so confident you can handle me?"
Qin Yu was live streaming her journey; her arrival in Pingshui Town was no secret.
So it was no surprise to her that the Buddha knew.
The Buddha smiled, shaking her head, the dimples at her lips sweet enough to intoxicate. "Siqiu, this matter does not concern you. If you leave now, I won’t hold it against you. But if you refuse a toast and insist on drinking punishment wine, don’t blame me for what happens."
She spoke reasonably, offering peace.
Qin Yu smiled back, matching her tone. "But I must get involved."
The Buddha’s smile vanished, replaced by a face of utter coldness.
