Quite suddenly.
I had already prepared to resume once the boss returned from vacation.
No lengthy preamble—just three things.

First, thanks to Qing Zhou (title emphasized).
Without him, it wouldn’t even be a question of whether this book existed; I might have already said goodbye to the web novel world last summer.
I want to say, he truly deserves that promotion to gold medal status.
A wonderful person—submit your works to him!
If this book doesn’t reach its first subscription milestone of over ten thousand, it must mean my wish for Qing Zhou’s eternal youth has come true.

Second, thanks to the loyal readers.
I started my first book in mid-May last year, with about a hundred initial subscriptions. It grew to 2.2 million words with 993 subscriptions before I stopped updating for a few months. Occasionally, I would release free chapters to catch a breath, yet some readers stayed.
No matter how much I switched styles over the past six months, they followed faithfully.
These twenty or so longtime readers are the fuel behind my writing.
And then there are the new readers of this book.
"Teacher" (original title) is a textbook case of false prosperity.
After starting the book, I never asked for favors or friendly collections in the author group; I wanted to see the raw data.
From the initial trial to the current fourth round, the conversion rate has barely passed the threshold, and retention has never reached even half the average.
Asked the editor; the response was that the beginning was fine.
It’s purely a niche style.

This explains the current situation: at first glance, new bookmarks look decent, comments seem lively, and monthly votes appear pretty good.
But with eight thousand bookmarks, the peak number of readers following was only about eleven hundred. After the incident on the 26th, it was cut in half, and today it has climbed back to 950.
The storyline involving Lin Jiajia was my own choice not to drag the pace any longer, serving as a filter to sift through readers.
This is the second time the work was censored.
After two rounds, only a handful remain, with some loyalty but no new growth.
The expectation for this book is 200 initial subscriptions.
If achieved, then a daily ten-thousand and a monthly push could follow.
As for updating rules and such, I’m a part-time writer; hitting ten thousand daily is my greatest sincerity and capability.
Tips, monthly votes, and the like are optional—after all, it’s all debt. Bronze-level subscribers get three extra chapters, to be repaid by month’s end. Student readers, please try not to tip; if you do, no refunds.
The monthly votes were requested late last night and are likely exhausted now.
Also, before launch, chapters will mostly be five to six thousand words, but the first subscription chapter will be cut into two-thousand-word segments.
I’m just a hardworking writer, fully aware of the tough economic climate. Those who can subscribe, please do; those who cannot, feel free to read pirated versions—I won’t fuss. I only ask that if you enjoy any part for free, come back and leave a good review. That would suffice.

Third, once again, thanks to a few people.
Purple Gold Sheep and Taiqing Yaodao—two big names who promoted chapters from two of my books, the first book and another one I have since stopped.
I’ve never forgotten this and don’t know if I’ll ever get the chance to repay them, so I take this opportunity to say thanks.
At the start, clueless and like a headless fly, I nervously and shamelessly asked for help, and they were both incredibly kind.
Now, Purple Gold’s "Naruto Only Wants to Be a Reaper" has finished, with no new book started yet.
Taiqing Yaodao’s "Tang Dynasty Li Chengqian: Please, Your Majesty, Reign Forever" is ongoing at 1.32 million words and is worth checking out.

Then there’s this book’s shout-out.
In March, Mazhu helped communicate on my behalf—I never contacted the author directly.
He generously gave a chapter recommendation; this is a genuine urban literature master.
A beautiful soul with great books: "1987: My Era."
And a contemporary author, Tiantian Tudousi.
We’re about the same age, and we chatted yesterday; his work is "2013: The Battle for Traffic in the Entertainment Industry."
I don’t share links because I don’t want to sacrifice them.
These few are not promotional plugs, just heartfelt thanks, and I haven’t told them this.
Whether I continue writing or retire from the scene, this is the path I’ve traveled in web fiction.
I am deeply grateful.
A bow.

Finally, I just arrived at my parents’ home and received notice. Heading back now to start coding.
Tonight, before midnight, the book will launch uncensored.
I hope the youthful spirit of Summer An, along with the two Fruit Sisters, Tang Xiaowan, and Lin Jiajia, can journey a little further.
— Relentless in writing, hey ho.
