Chapter 20: The Fairy (Part II)

Lu Xing couldn’t quite catch their whispered conversations. Staring at the mirror, several possibilities formed in his mind.
The first possibility: this treasured mirror might be a “Ten Thousand Souls Banner,” a device that traps their souls inside, never to leave for eternity. Moreover, its maker seemed somewhat twisted, accepting only peerless beauties.
The second possibility: the souls within the mirror willingly entered it, much like a sect’s immortal artifact. Female cultivators of the sect, upon reaching a certain level of cultivation and passing away, would store their souls in the mirror, generation after generation, until it took form.
The third was simpler: this mirror was like a computer in the cultivation world, capable of long-distance video communication.
“My daughter is now on Earth?” The woman in the red dress fixed her gaze on him and asked.
Lu Xing nodded. The woman continued, “She’s using your body, just as you are using hers now?”
“Yes!”
“Is she in danger?”
“Auntie, don’t worry. Earth is very safe; most people abide by the law.”
Lu Xing observed their reactions. If these beauties sneered, then this cultivation world was probably some kind of underworld sect.
But to his surprise, their focus was elsewhere.
A blue-robed girl in the mirror clapped her hands and laughed, addressing the woman in red: “Good grandson, he called you Auntie!”
“Auntie, heehee!”
“Kid, shut up! Who calls you Auntie?”
“I’m not your aunt.”
“Hmph.”
“You’re so obedient, call me Auntie one more time, and I’ll prepare a great gift for your ascension!”
Before Lu Xing and the woman in red could respond, the beauties in the mirror began to speak one after another, each with a different reaction—some joyful, some sneering, some scolding.
The woman in red, who seemed to be the mother of the Ice Fairy, froze in place, looking at Lu Xing with strange, excited eyes. “You called... me Auntie?”
To be honest, Lu Xing thought she looked no older than twenty-five or twenty-six; Xiao Yu was older than her.
But this woman’s demeanor was gentle and refined, dressed as a matron with her hair elegantly styled. Since she claimed to be the fairy’s mother, Lu Xing addressed her as Auntie.
“Sorry, should I call you Senior instead?” Lu Xing asked.
“No, just call me Auntie!” The woman interrupted, her eyes moist like a doting elder. Softly, she said, “Good child, from now on, you’ll call me Auntie. Don’t pay attention to the others; just listen to me.”
Lu Xing finally realized she wasn’t the fairy’s mother, but a... loveless elder!
Had her soul been trapped in the mirror too long, causing a change in personality?
Lu Xing explained the use of “Auntie” on Earth and reverted to calling her Senior, then asked, “May I know how to address you, Senior?”

“Just call me Auntie!”
“May I ask your surname, Auntie?”
“Surname?” The woman in red pondered for a moment, then shook her head. “I have no surname, no name. When I once walked the mortal world, people called me the Neon Fairy.”
Call her Auntie Neon? Suddenly it sounded much less appealing. Better to just call her Neon Fairy.
Lu Xing restrained a desire to mock and guessed that she had forgotten her own name after such a long time.
When he asked about the Ice Fairy—the current body’s original owner—he received the same answer:
She also had no name or surname.
Lu Xing stared blankly at the mirror, while the beauties inside smiled at him, seemingly enjoying his bewilderment.
Feeling powerless, Lu Xing asked as a fallback, “Honored seniors, including Senior Neon Fairy, may I ask where this place is? Am I, or rather, the fairy, currently in seclusion?”
“Seclusion for what?”
“This is the Great Snow Mountain. Are you really that clueless? Can’t you tell?”
“What are you planning?”
There were many beauties in the mirror; some spoke to Lu Xing without pretense, while others were friendlier, like the blue-robed girl who seemed easier to talk to.
“Not seclusion? Then is she being hunted by enemies?” Lu Xing asked the blue-robed girl and Neon Fairy.
“Among the Three Realms and Six Paths, who dares offend me?”
The blue-robed girl stood proudly with hands on hips. Another woman with a majestic aura sneered coldly, looking at Lu Xing with full disdain.
Lu Xing ignored her. It was normal not to understand the cultivation world. If they went to Earth, they wouldn’t even know how to flush a toilet!
“Holding the mirror, one can travel anywhere across the Three Realms and Six Paths...?”
Lu Xing recalled the fairy’s words and stepped forward, lifting the treasured mirror from the icy wall with his delicate, snow-white hand.
The souls in the mirror did not object.
“I want to go out and take a look. Do you have any suggestions, honored seniors?”
“Just go out. Why bother asking us?” the previously mocking woman answered.
Lu Xing looked down at her attire in the mirror: a golden robe embroidered with nine dragons, a crown on her head, seated upon a mountain throne, gazing arrogantly at all.
The blue-robed girl squatted by a stream, resting her chin on her hands, and laughed, “Good grandson, are you an idiot too? He knows nothing, not even a single spell. You expect him to just charge out with his bare body?”
The imperial woman pursed her lips and dismissed the conversation.
Neon Fairy smiled, “Good child, take out that sword and swing it at the wall. That’s how you get out.”

Lu Xing glanced at the pile of miscellaneous items and noticed a sword but didn’t move. He tried to sense the power of the treasured mirror again and asked, “Are there any clothes here? I need to change before going out.”
Several beauties in the mirror blushed, especially Neon Fairy, whose cheeks flushed deeply.
The blue-robed girl covered her face with both hands, saying something like, “So embarrassing! You’re not allowed to see me without clothes!” The imperial woman sneered and threatened, “If you dare look at her body, I’ll kill you!”
Lu Xing said calmly, “Say that again.”
The imperial woman gave him a cold glare.
Lu Xing stretched out the fairy’s slender jade hand and tapped the mirror’s surface. Instantly, all the figures disappeared, and the mirror reflected only Lu Xing—or rather, the Ice Fairy’s peerless immortal beauty.
“You petty mirror souls, how dare you defy the heavens!”
Lu Xing was pleased. The life-exchange game had perfectly merged his soul with the original body, allowing him to freely use the owner’s magic, divine powers, mana, and chips.
He already felt the immense power of the fairy’s original treasured mirror!
Searching the icy chamber, Lu Xing found a white satin ribbon, about two palms wide and over two meters long—somewhat like a waist sash—in the pile of clutter.
He also found a red cord.
Lu Xing picked them up, hung the mirror on the wall, and stood before it, hesitating for a moment.
He looked at the fairy in the mirror. Though he had seen her many times, he was still shaken by her transcendent beauty, untouched by the world.
“Forget it.”
Lu Xing gave up. After all, they would exchange bodies again in the future. He couldn’t avoid seeing her. For example, during the exchange with Xiao Yu, by afternoon, Xiao Yu had already become somewhat reckless.
After deciding, Lu Xing extended his slender jade hand and gently pulled down the snowy white dress from the fairy’s fragrant shoulder.
The dazzling snow mountain seemed to glow with brilliance.
Lu Xing suddenly felt dizzy, and it wasn’t just that. The fairy’s skin was whiter than snow, so smooth that the dress couldn’t hold it. As it was pulled down, it fluttered lightly to the floor, forming a pile of fabric.
The fairy’s nature was fierce and cold; a Western Metal element, decisive and ruthless, leaving no grass alive on the earth.
Lu Xing, a mere mortal and a vigorous young university student from Earth’s China, found this scene—
Overwhelming beyond his control.
“The fairy is not present. I only have her appearance, not her demeanor. Just seeing ‘myself’ has already made me lose my senses.”
“What if she were in this body?”
Lu Xing’s eyes fixed on the mirror, reluctant to look away even slightly. If he were a pervert, he might have already returned to the cold jade bed to lie down.
After a long time,
Torn between perversion and sanity, Lu Xing finally reached out with difficulty and flipped the mirror over, making the fairy vanish from sight.
